SOUTHERN FANCY

Southern Fancy is an enchanting historic island cottage nestled in the heart of the picturesque Hope Town Settlement on Elbow Cay, Abaco, The Bahamas. This timeless residence, originally constructed circa 1865, boasts a rich heritage spanning 158 years, a testament to its enduring charm and classic appeal. Restored and renovated in 1953, 1991, and most recently in 2021, Southern Fancy blends the character of its past with the conveniences of modern living, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of oceanfront splendour. The cottage is two-levels, totaling 1,182 square feet, and comprised of wood frame construction, wood siding, a solid concrete foundation, and three cisterns that can hold up to 17,000 gallons of water. The main floor of this island gem features a detached guest suite, complete with one bedroom and a full bathroom.
